Although this tune has a melody form that's familiar in bass lines, it's still a good idea to practice melodies. "Gilligan's Island," as here written in C, can be a good exercise for reading sharps. It probably should be written in F since it starts in Dm and ends on an F, though technically the key changes every 4 measures or so. Even if we don't care how music is communicated in writing, this tune can be used to practice ghost notes. Try throwing them in where the
rhythm asks you. Use only open strings, and see how they can be used in any key when properly done.
